Meet the Teleforge General Managers
GM MANAGED INFRASTRUCTURE
Sylvester is a passionate, driven, and adaptive individual who does not give up easily, no matter what challenge he is faced with. He is a fast learner, prides himself on having a diverse range of skills, and is constantly working on improving and adding to them. He has 5 years of experience in the IT industry, and 5 in Telecoms, with specialist knowledge in the Research, Technical, Design, Support, Implementation and Development environments.
He has a BSc in Computer Science from UNISA.
Sylvester co-founded Teleforge in July 2013 where he has served as the Chief Technical Officer and was recently assigned the role of General Manager for the Managed Infrastructure department.
Lucas Van Kasterop
Lucas is a goal driven leader, by analysing and coordination of the company’s processes assets he always strives to “make it better”. He joined the team in 2016 and serves as Teleforge’s financial manager. He obtained his BCom Accounting degree through Free State University and honours through Unisa. He completed his SAICA Learnership contract at a medium-size audit firm in Bloemfontein. During the period 2009 to 2013 he gained experience in auditing, taxation and financial management working with auditing firms in Bloemfontein and Pretoria. In 2013 to 2016 he gained experience in the pharmaceutical sector as a financial manager. He joined the team in 2016 and is heading up the financial department for Teleforge. Lucas has the ability to maximise processes within a company and ensure the optimal results are obtained. He strives to make his surrounding better and can identify potential in individuals which he optimises to get the best result for the company. His vision is to touch people’s lives on a daily basis to ensure that their actions in the future can build a better South Africa. Lucas was recently assigned the role of General Manager for the Finance department.
Stefan holds Microsoft Certifications ranging from MCP, MCITP, MCSE, and MCSA. After starting at Teleforge Stefan has further certified himself in Linux Essentials, Digium Dcsa as well as Vicidial which contributed to Teleforge becoming one of the only Authorized Vicidial Partners.
Stefan started out at Teleforge in 2015 as a junior level 1 VOIP engineer and worked his way up to a level 3 Senior engineer in 8 months from inception. He served in several IT management positions and now serves as The General Manager of Operations. With his wealth of technical knowledge Stefan plays a vital role in maintaining good and healthy relationships with our customers to ensure that our support and service levels are second to none.
Stefan is a dedicated and hardworking individual who believes that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Stefan also loves a new challenge and believes that there is no task too big to solve. Stefan’s core believe is: “There is no such thing as failing, only learning!”

Meet the Teleforge Heads Of Departments
Deborah is a multi-talent leader who is self-motivated, goal oriented, has excellent work ethics and is a strong team player. Her strengths lie in creativity and conceptual thinking.As head of Marketing and Special Projects she is able to make use of her strengths and brings a positive energy, which can be seen in how she embraces the challenges of both these departments. Her hands-on approach in tactical and strategy development helps her implement and drive methodologies to enable Teleforge to consistently deliver projects faster and with higher quality to meet customers’ specifications. “always find the positive in any challenging situation”
TRAINING & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE MANAGER
Christiaan oversees all personnel and customer related training for Teleforge. He implemented an E-Learning program to create and manage training courses for the company’s products & services. It grants our personnel and customers the opportunity to register a user profile, and then tracks their personal learning experiences.
Christiaan serves as a support pillar for Sales, Service Assurance, Service Delivery and Financial Departments, by devising solutions to complement internal processes.
With his involvement with our clientele, one of his fundamental focus areas is to improve strategies for Teleforge customer experiences.
HEAD OF INNOVATION
Rijnhard prides himself on his growth mindset; as a developer, entrepreneur, leader and an ethical member of society. He has a strong ENTJ personality with an inclination for fast learning, strategy and creativity that results in the ability to innovate and drive innovation. Rijnhard holds a BIS degree specialising in Multimedia from the University of Pretoria. He started working as a Software Developer in the Telecommunications industry (and related industries) from 2012, starting with SMS, moving into Insurance and then to voice in 2014 at Teleforge to lead the development efforts. Rijnhard is a fast learner by nature and a natural problem solver which has manifested in his technical ability as a Senior Developer, and in his strategic responsibilities to realise the Teleforge vision. His strategic and creative inclinations earned him awards for Innovation early on from the University of Pretoria’s School of Information Technology and numerously later from Teleforge. His ability to translate business requirements and technical challenges between multiple stakeholders into common understanding adds to his ability to lead the product direction for the Teleforge vision.
HEAD OF SERVICE DELIVERY
Jonathan studied for a BSc in Computer Science at Belgium Campus ITVersity. He joined Teleforge as an intern software developer in 2015. During his second year at Teleforge, he discovered Agile and realized his true passion was not for developing software but was to perfect the process of software development, in this pursuit, he absorbs reams of material on agile out of sheer interest. He aligned Teleforge’s development team with the Agile manifesto and applied its principles and core values to the software delivery lifecycle. He serves as an Agile coach to various team members within Teleforge to help align them (and the company) with the Agile methodology. Jonathan has an innate ability to find the correct contexts for the application of an abstract Agile concept while still factoring in practical issues in order to tailor the process to the environment using a mix of soft and strong handed approaches when necessary.
MANAGER: OFFICE OF THE COO
Alicia Demmer, Business Manager in the Office of the COO, began her journey at Teleforge as an Executive Assistant to the COO in September of 2018. Solely focused on her business partnership with her leader, Alicia has a burning desire to fulfil her leaders vision and to work toward being “The Effective Assistant” through proactive support. Alicia’s mission is to promote operational excellence, customer service excellence, an Innovation culture as well as growth and sustainability, through discipline and effective management, constantly looking to improve, add value, and raise the standards. She strives to strategically drive results with the utmost excellence, developing not only her own tangible and intangible traits but that of others. She undertakes every activity with the zealous attitude that this endeavour will polish her and Teleforge’s brand, unyielding perseverance to achieve victory, particularly when doubters question whether victory is even possible.

MANAGER: OFFICE OF THE CEO
Marcelle Meiring, Business Manager in the Office of the CEO. In her role as an Executive PA & Manager, Marcelle is deeply committed to providing administrative and business support to the CEO. She also serves as Assistant Company Secretary and administratively manage all Governing Body, and Governing Body Committee meetings. Her purpose is to enable others to achieve their dreams and goals by never giving up. She joined Teleforge in 2018 as an Executive Assistant and soon moved up to manage the Office of the CEO. Her attention to detail, excellent structure-building skills and the vitality and energy she brings to each department resulted in her adapting very quickly in the fast and agile culture of Teleforge and the corporate environment.. She has significant experience in the execution and implementation of corporate actions. Marcelle enjoys this diverse experience and is rewarded by the friendships and business partnerships she makes. She feels privileged to work with organizations and people to make a difference. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in family events, going to concerts and enjoying life.
